Welcome to Short Mic, a platform owned and operated by Instalane Internet Private Limited, registered in Bangalore, India ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, and services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are not permitted to access the service.

1. Use of the App/Service

You agree to use the App/Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to misuse the app/service or help anyone else do so. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account information updated. You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the service and for any activities or actions under your password.

3. User Content

You retain all rights to the content you upload or create on our platform, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, store, distribute and display your content as necessary to operate and promote the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to the content you submit and that it does not violate the law or the rights of others.

4. User Conduct and Content Submission Guidelines

You agree not to use the service to post or transmit content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, infringes on intellectual property rights, or is harmful to others. Additionally, political content is not encouraged on the platform. We reserve the right to remove or edit any content that violates these standards.

5. Content Guidelines

All content must comply with the following guidelines:

No obscene, offensive, or harmful content.
No infringement of intellectual property rights.
No content that violates any laws or regulations.
Political content is not encouraged and may be subject to removal.

6. Moderation

Short Mic and its Premium Creators review user-submitted content for obscenity, offensiveness, harmful material and compliance with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and other policies. None of the audios uploaded by users go live immediately. Every individual audio clip is reviewed by either the Short Mic editorial team or our Premium Content Partners to ensure it adheres to our content guidelines. This process helps us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all users. Users can use the inbuilt report option to flag any audio that you find inappropriate, in addition to blocking a particular user. The Short Mic team will review the report and take action within 24 hours if the audio violates any of our policies. Additionally, we have implemented a robust mechanism to ban users who repeatedly violate our content submission terms and conditions. This ensures that users who do not comply with our standards are prevented from contributing further content. We are committed to providing a high-quality and secure platform for our users and appreciate your support in maintaining these standards. We reserve the right to remove or refuse to publish any content that violates these Terms.

7. Reporting Violations

Users can report objectionable content, copyright issues, or other violations by emailing support@shortmic.com or visit support page. We will take appropriate action within 24 hours.

8. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to our service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach the Terms or any other policies.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the App, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

10. Copyright and Intellectual Property
All rights in the original content of the service are owned by or licensed to Instalane Internet Private Limited. Unauthorized use of any trademarks, logos, or other content is prohibited.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties and conditions of any kind. In no event shall we be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes will be resolved by the courts located in Bangalore, India.
